About Me

I am Marco, I am 25 and I come from Avellino in southern Italy. My educational path as a computer engineer started with a bachelor's degree taken in 2019 and later I got my master's degree with honours in 2021. During my MSc I also did two internships that provided me with both AI and Web Development skills. Moreover I won a scholarship to organize a course on humanoid robot programming attended by about 750 students. After graduation, I stayed at the university for research activities at MiviaLab where I worked on the design and implementation of AI algorithms for video analysis and natural language processing on embedded devices. Now I am working as a computer vision engineer in the field of intelligent video surveillance . I like playing basketball and I believe that a good work-life balance is extremely necessary. I believe that a happy person is also more productive. I like to travel and I am willing to follow my dreams anywhere. My family and my loved give me a lot of peace of mind and give me the strength to do anything.

- Currently leading a team of 4 for algorithmic design and development efforts to seamlessly integrate a LLM into a chatbot solution for a help desk environment.
- Researching, developing and deploying deep learning algorithms for real-time video surveillance using RGB cameras and LIDAR sensors.
- Developed applications for 3D reconstruction from monocular cameras, achieving a margin of error lower than 10% on points within 15 meters distance. These applications aimed to obtain a usable point cloud for autonomous driving systems, enabling real-time operation on embedded devices.
